About the Slavonski Brod / Bosanski Brod crossing
The Slavonski Brod / Bosanski Brod crossing spans the Sava river on a bridge between twin towns: Slavonski Brod, one of the larger cities of Croatian Slavonia, and Brod (long known as Bosanski Brod) in the Posavina region of Bosnia and Herzegovina. On the Croatian side, the D53 road links the crossing to the A3 motorway (E70, the Zagreb–Belgrade corridor) just outside the city; on the Bosnian side the road continues south toward Derventa and Doboj, a main approach to central Bosnia and Sarajevo.
The post handles cars, buses and freight, though goods that require inspection control must clear at other crossings, and much of the heavy Corridor Vc transit now uses the newer Svilaj motorway crossing downstream. Because the bridge lands more or less in the two town centres, peak-time queues can back up into city streets, and local traffic between the two Brods is constant. Croatia is in the Schengen Area and Bosnia and Herzegovina is not — full passport and customs checks apply.

- Have passports ready for everyone in the vehicle; this is an external Schengen border.
- In a hurry with a long queue ahead? The Svilaj motorway crossing on the A3 is a nearby alternative.

Each square is one day and hour. Green is a short wait (30 min or less), yellow is medium (up to 90), red is long. Grey squares have no reports yet. The big number is the usual wait in minutes; the small number is how many reports it is based on. Faded squares have very few reports, so treat them with caution.
We show two numbers. The usual wait (‘Typically’) is the middle of what people report — a normal day. The busy-day number (‘up to’) is how bad it can get. If you can’t be late, plan for the busy-day number.

Reports come in through the day. The Last reporting card at the top shows the latest one. Recent reports count a little more than old ones, and anything based on very few reports is faded — treat it with caution.
